Muscogee citizen elected President of American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Oklahoma
(OKLAHOMA) A citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, William D. Lowe, has been elected President of the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Oklahoma, the AICCO announced on Dec. 17.
The American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Oklahoma (AICCO) is a non-profit organization within Oklahoma that works to, in their own words, “to provide a format for American Indian entrepreneurs to promote their business, for corporations to connect with American Indian businesses, to act as a liaison on tribal economic development, and to offer the best in resources, training, and networking for the American Indian business owner.”
Tulsa Health Department to distribute harm reduction kits
(OKLAHOMA) The Tulsa Health Department’s substance abuse prevention program has partnered with the Coalition Against Prescription and Substance Abuse of Tulsa (CAPSAT) to distribute Harm Reduction Kits in Tulsa County. The kits include free essential resources designed to prevent overdose and substance misuse, such as Narcan, fentanyl test strips, xylazine test strips, medication disposal bags and medication lockboxes.
