VNN is in a period of rapid growth, particularly in regard to VNN Oklahoma, our premiere news hub.
To keep up with community demand, the first three months of 2023 will be dedicated to growth and development. These months will consist of strategic planning, data journalism training, and web development.
VNN will also invest resources into advertising and sponsorship acquisition during this time in order to support current and future local journalism and other multimedia work in our communities.
VNN Oklahoma will continue its mission to provide equitable news representation for Oklahoma’s diverse population through works produced by VNN Lead Journalist Brittany Harlow and VNN Oklahoma and National affiliates.
VNN Michigan will launch a dedicated news hub page as well as its own dedicated news mission and reporting focus areas based on recent community feedback, led by VNN Michigan Senior Journalist Rachael Schuit.
Q1 2023 will set the stage for Q2 2023 and beyond. VNN Oklahoma Q2 2023 will focus on justice. VNN Michigan Q2 2023 focus is still being finalized.
