Native Commerce News is sponsored by the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Oklahoma (AICCO), dedicated to expanding Indian Country commerce across the globe. 

This monthly series will highlight the social impacts, health, and sustainability of the Indian Country economy.

AICCO was established in 1991. More than 30 years later, it is now the largest chamber of minority-owned businesses in Oklahoma. 

Located centrally within the United States, AICCO is committed to strengthening and advancing economic opportunity throughout Indian Country, the collective designation of Oklahoma’s 39 federally recognized tribes.

The organization is also actively working to reestablish the trade routes of Indigenous peoples developed thousands of years ago, such as those connecting Canada and Australia.

AICCO events include The Gathering Annual Business Summit, featuring Native-owned business programming and networking opportunities and showcasing Indian Country diversity and cultural heritage to attendees from all over the state, the country, and the world.

Through education, training, and cultural understanding, AICCO is advancing economic development, community services, and business resources in Oklahoma and beyond. VNN is looking forward to building on this new and exciting partnership as well as additional opportunities in the future.
