Mvskoke Woman found murdered in her abandoned vehicle near Inola
(MUSCOGEE NATION) On Sunday, Jan 28 Mvskoke citizen Cassidy Ritchie was found dead in the trunk of her abandoned blue Chrysler Pacifica with a registered Muscogee (Creek) Nation plate near the I Don’t Care Bar and Grill. Detectives discovered the body after serving a search warrant and later declared it a homicide.
Minerals Council continues discussion on headright legislation
(OSAGE NATION) On Nov. 23, 2021, the Osage Mineral Council voted to seek federal legislation to permit non-Osages who own a headright interest in the Osage Mineral Estate to gift or sell those headright interests back to the OMC, the Osage Nation, or Osage individuals.
‘Big win for us:’ Federal regulators say the Grand River Dam Authority is responsible for flooding in Miami and failed to acquire affected lands
(OKLAHOMA) The Pensacola Dam is one of the major causes of flooding in the northeastern Oklahoma town of Miami and the Grand River Dam Authority has violated its license by not buying out affected property owners, according to a new federal ruling. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued the order on Jan. 18.

(MICHIGAN) Champagne, bingo, and lots of laughter filled Social House in downtown Grand Rapids for a “Bingo and Bubbly” fundraiser on the evening of February 1st. Dozens of people came together to raise money for a local non-profit, Redeemed Mobile Boutique.
