Republican Megabill Will Mean Higher Health Costs for Many Americans
(NATIONAL) President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” cuts federal spending on Medicaid and Affordable Care Act marketplaces by about $1 trillion over a decade, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, threatening the physical and financial health of tens of millions of Americans.
The bill, which the Senate passed Tuesday, would reverse many of the health coverage gains of the Biden and Obama administrations, whose policies made it easier for millions of people to access health care and reduced the U.S. uninsured rate to record lows.
Lawmakers demand answers over alleged fabrications in MAHA health report
(NATIONAL) The MAHA Report: Make Our Children Healthy Again Assessment, initially released on May 22, is under scrutiny for alleged factual errors and fabricated sources.
Three Democratic members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee are demanding answers from Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. following the discovery of multiple inaccuracies in the report.

Almost $80 million for Oklahoma schools blocked by Trump administration
(OKLAHOMA) Nearly $78 million in funding for Oklahoma schools is being withheld by the Trump administration as part of a nationwide block of federal education funding.
The blockade affects multiple areas of education funding.
Most of the blocked money for Oklahoma is concentrated in five funds:
More than $31 million is in Title II-A funds for Oklahoma. Title II-A funds go toward professional development for school employees, including teacher and principal certification programs. They intend to increase school staff to improve student performance and provide low-income students with access to effective faculty.

(NATIONAL) Slow-moving thunderstorms will lead to the additional threat of localized flash flooding over saturated grounds in central Texas, the center of Tropical Storm Chantal makes landfall over eastern South Carolina, and scattered showers and thunderstorms will move across the upper Midwest and Great Lakes followed by rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms across the northern and central High Plains.
