Tulsa Mayoral Candidates Discuss Their Plans for Indian Country
(OKLAHOMA) Tulsans will head to the polls this year not just to elect a President–but also to elect a new mayor. There are currently three candidates in the race: Oklahoma State Representative Monroe Nichols, County Commissioner Karen Keith, and Tulsa business owner Casey Bradford.
House Democrats target Walters for investigation
(OKLAHOMA) Several Oklahoma House Democrats have filed a resolution calling for a bipartisan committee to investigate Oklahoma State Supt. of Public Instruction Ryan Walters over his department’s spending of federal funds. In filing House Resolution 1052, the lawmakers said they’ve asked Speaker of the House Charles McCall and Republican lawmakers to hold Walters “accountable” for the Oklahoma State Department of Education’s handling of federal tax dollars.
Search for Answers Continues 103 Years After Tulsa Race Massacre
(OKLAHOMA) As the 103rd anniversary of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre approaches, the City of Tulsa is continuing its search for victims and relatives from the Massacre. Intermountain Forensics, the laboratory assisting the City with DNA analysis for the Investigation, is making significant progress.
