(OKLAHOMA) Sallie is a private woman. She didn’t want to share her last name, but she does want to share her story. A Muscogee Creek/ Cherokee Native, Sallie turned 83 last month. She was born in Tulsa in 1939.

First Black woman Justice appointed to Michigan Supreme Court
(MICHIGAN) On Tuesday, Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced that she’s appointed Kyra Harris Bolden to the Michigan Supreme Court in January 2023 to succeed Justice Bridget Mary McCormack. Bolden will be the first Black woman to serve on the high court and is the governor’s first appointment to the supreme court.
